Text notification issues for some carriers in PSTrax

Certain wireless carriers no longer support email-to-text services, which could affect text messages in PSTrax

In 2025, both Verizon and AT&T (which operates FirstNet) stopped supporting email-to-text communications. Email-to-text is how alert notifications are sent in PSTrax. So if you use one of these carriers and are set up to receive text notifications, you will not receive text messages from PSTrax.

We don't know why these carriers decided to make this change, but here's some information from Verizon, and some information from AT&T regarding the announcements.

Obviously these decisions have ramifications for how communications are sent in PSTrax, so our Engineering Team is working to come up with an alternative solution as quickly as possible. Until then, we recommend setting up email notifications in your PSTrax account. Here's how:

  1. Click User Settings from the dropdown in the upper right corner of your account.
  2. Set Receive Alert Notifications Via to Email. Make sure that the email address listed on your account is accurate.

💡 To receive emails on your phone, it may be a good idea to adjust your notification settings so you are alerted when a new email from PSTrax is sent.
