System Updates - February 2026

Here's what's new in PSTrax

⚡Faster, Smoother, Better: Supplies Module Performance Overhaul

We’ve delivered a significant performance overhaul to the Supplies Module. This update focuses on one thing: speed. Whether you're auditing inventory or tracking year-long trends, your data now loads in seconds—no more timeouts or waiting for the "loading" wheel.

Key Enhancements:

  • Instant Reporting: The Supplies Below Min, Expiration Date, and Supplies Trend reports now return results almost instantly. You can now analyze up to a year of usage trends or check upcoming expirations across the entire department without delays.

  • Enhanced Logs & History: We’ve optimized both the Supplies Logs and Supplies Logs by Item reports. Even for large departments with high data volumes, filtering and sorting through inventory history is now seamless and more reliable.

  • Streamlined Inventory Counts: The Scheduled Inventory Count page has been optimized to handle large inventories with numerous containers and items, ensuring your physical checks are completed without frustrating lag.

See Real-Time Vehicle Station Assignment on Open Alerts

You can now view the current location of each vehicle directly on the Vehicle & Station Open Alerts page. A new "Current Location" column appears next to "Posted Station," showing where the vehicle is right now—even if it has moved since the alert was posted. You can also sort alerts by current location for faster response.

Fleet Status Report Columns Streamlined

We’ve reorganized the Fleet Status Report so that key vehicle metrics—such as Odometer, Engine Hours, Pump Hours, and Aerial Hours (and their “Next Due” values)—now appear directly after the “Schedule Status” column. This makes it easier to review important fleet data at a glance.

Other Features, Enhancements & Bug Fixes

Vehicle & Station

  • "Service Due" Category Clearly Marked: We improved the user experience when reordering alert categories for Miles and Hours Auto-Alerts. The "Service Due" category is now clearly shown as unchangeable in the reorder modal, preventing any confusion about its position.
  • Consistent "Service Due" Alerts for Maintenance Tasks:  Now, whenever a maintenance threshold (like mileage or engine hours) is reached, clicking either the task or alert icon will automatically create a "Service Due" alert with all the relevant details pre-filled. This ensures your maintenance logs are always accurate and consistent, no matter how you trigger the alert.
  • Cleaner "Update Next Due" Field in Service Alerts: The "Update Next Due" field in service alert modals no longer displays hardcoded unit labels like "hours" or "miles." This update makes the interface clearer and more flexible for all users, regardless of the units your organization uses.
  • Clearer Info for "Service Due" Alerts: We’ve added an information tooltip next to the "Service Due" alert category in your Alert Categories & Recipients settings. Now, when you hover over the info icon, you’ll see a helpful message explaining that this category is automatically managed by the system based on odometer or hour readings and can’t be manually changed like custom categories.
  • More Room for Custom Alert Content:  You can now enter up to 500 characters in each custom content field within the Alerts Control Panel, up from the previous 200-character limit. This gives you more flexibility to add detailed notes or instructions to your alert fields.
  • "Service Due" Alert Category No Longer Selectable: We fixed an issue where the "Service Due" alert category was appearing as a selectable option when editing Task Groups in the Vehicles & Stations module. Now, only user-created alert categories and the "No Default" option are available for selection, preventing configuration conflicts and ensuring data consistency.
  • Combine Alerts Now Works with Odometer and Hours Tasks: You can now combine multiple tasks—including those with odometer or engine hours readings—into a single alert during vehicle checks. If an odometer or hours entry triggers an automatic alert, the system will guide you through a simple, step-by-step process to log both the combined manual alert and any required auto-alerts.
  • "Next Due" Info Now Always Visible: You’ll now see the "Next Due" hours or odometer values displayed on the final log screens when recording vehicle data. This enhancement keeps important maintenance thresholds visible throughout the logging process, so you no longer need to navigate back and forth to check when service is due.
  • Attach Files to Auto-Alerts Without Errors: We fixed an issue where adding an attachment to a Miles and Hours auto-alert caused an error page to appear, even though the alert was created. You can now successfully add attachments to your auto-alerts without any errors.

PPE / SCBA / Assets

  • "Set an Alert" Now Available for As-Needed Asset Checks: You can now flag equipment issues or defects during As-Needed Asset On-Truck Checks using the "Set an Alert" checkbox—just like in Scheduled checks. This makes it easy to report problems right when you find them, no matter which workflow you use.
  • Unassigned Filter Now Shows Only Unassigned Gear: We fixed an issue where selecting "Unassigned" in the PPE Admin Search Schedule would incorrectly display all gear, including items assigned to specific users. Now, when you choose the "Unassigned" filter, you’ll only see gear that hasn’t been allocated to anyone—making it much easier to identify and manage unassigned equipment.
  • PPE Gear List Remembers Your View: We fixed an issue where your column visibility settings in the PPE Gear List would reset every time you left and returned to the page. Now, your customized view stays just the way you set it for your entire session—making it easier to manage large inventories without extra clicks.

Supplies & Procurement

  • Flexible Scheduling for Supply Checks: You can now schedule supply container checks at custom weekly intervals—up to 52 weeks! This means you can easily set up quarterly, bi-monthly, or even annual supply inspections without workarounds. The system will save and display your chosen interval, making long-term planning simpler and more efficient.
  • Lot Number Tracking Now Saves Instantly: We fixed an issue where the "Track Lot Number" option was not being saved when adding a new supply item. Now, when you select this option during item creation, your choice is immediately reflected in the item list and edit screens—no extra steps required.
  • Supplies Logs Search Modal Now Opens Automatically: We fixed an issue where the "Search Supplies Logs" window did not appear automatically when visiting the Supplies Logs page. Now, the search modal pops up as soon as the page loads, making it quicker and easier to filter and find your supply logs.
  • Supplies Logs Filtering Restored: We fixed an issue where filters and search on the Supplies Logs page were not narrowing down results as expected. Now, when you use dropdown filters or the search bar, only matching records are shown, and the entry count updates in real time. The "Clear Filters" button also resets your view instantly.

Blood Products

  • Blood Products Card Now Shows Pending Checks: The Blood Products card on your homepage has been redesigned with a split-pane layout. You’ll now see the number of scheduled checks due at a glance, plus a clear “As-Needed Check” option—making it easier to stay on top of compliance tasks without extra clicks.
  • Log Inventory Checks with Zero Products: You can now complete inventory checks on containers even when no blood products are present. Simply check the new box to confirm a quantity of zero, and your event will be logged as expected.
  • Manage Containers Actions Restored for All Departments: We fixed an issue where some departments were unable to add or edit containers on the Manage Containers page in Blood Products, especially when certain modules were disabled or stations were inactive. Now, you can reliably manage containers regardless of your department’s module settings or station status.
  • Transaction Logs Now Load Instantly: We fixed an issue that caused the Blood Products Transaction Logs page to load very slowly, especially for departments with a large number of records. The page now loads in seconds, and you can quickly browse, search, and filter your transaction history without delays.
  • Prevented Removal of Active Blood Product Types: We fixed an issue where users could remove a blood product type from a container even if products of that type were still in use. Now, the system will prevent removal and display a clear warning if any active products remain, ensuring your records stay accurate and consistent.
  • Event Details Now Load Instantly: We fixed an issue where the Blood Products Event Details modal would not display information when viewing a product’s history. You can now reliably open event details from any link and see complete, accurate information about restocks, removals, and inventory checks.
  • Cleaner Event Actions Menu: We removed the non-functional "Duplicate" option from the event actions menu on the Manage Events page in the Blood Products module. Now, only the "Edit" and "Delete" options appear, making the menu clearer and preventing confusing error messages.
  • Accurate Due Dates for Scheduled Checks: We fixed an issue where scheduled checks were showing outdated or incorrect due dates on the Blood Products Home and Manage Schedules pages. Now, after you complete a scheduled check, the next due date updates correctly and always reflects the next required check.
  • Clearer Alert Confirmation for Blood Product Events: The confirmation message shown when setting an alert during blood product events now clearly states, "An alert will be posted once the event is logged." This helps prevent confusion by letting you know that alerts are only finalized after the entire event is completed.
  • Custom Field Labels Now Display in All Blood Product Events: We fixed an issue where your custom labels for standard blood product fields (like Item ID or Exp Date) were not appearing during inventory checks, transfers, and administration events. Now, your chosen terminology is shown consistently across all event steps and views.

Other

  • Department Checklist Logs Load Instantly Again: We fixed an issue that caused Department Checklist logs to get stuck loading or show an error when searching by reference. You can now view, search, and export your department logs without any delays or errors.
