System Updates - April 2026

Here's what's new in PSTrax

Enhanced Procurement: Faster, More Flexible Ordering

We’ve completely reimagined the Procurement Module experience to make ordering supplies as simple and intuitive as your favorite online store. You can now add products to your cart instantly without needing to pre-link them to specific containers or supply items, and a new streamlined checkout process—complete with dedicated Cart and Review pages—gives you total control before you submit.

💡These updates significantly reduce the time spent on administrative setup, allowing you to manage inventory across multiple locations in a single view and receive orders with just one click.

Autosave Protects Your Supply Count Progress

We've added autosave to Supplies counts so an accidental "back" tap, a closed tab, or an interrupted shift no longer wipes out your work mid-count. Both Scheduled and As-Needed Inventory Counts now save your progress automatically every 20 seconds. When you return to a count with saved progress, a "Progress Restored" prompt lets you pick up where you left off — or reset to start fresh

Coming Soon! — A Dedicated Alerts page for Blood Products

Blood Products will soon have a dedicated Alerts page that brings every open and closed alert into a single filterable, sortable table view — modeled on the Inventory page so it'll feel familiar from day one. Tab navigation switches between All, Open, and Closed alerts. Use checkbox selection plus the Actions toolbar to view details, add comments, or edit multiple alerts at once. The Description column shows the original alert notes, and Comments and Attachments columns link to the existing modal so any additional context is one click away.

Other Features, Enhancements & Bug Fixes

Vehicle & Station

  • Home Station now matches assigned station access: We resolved an inconsistency where administrators could set a user's Home Station to a station the user wasn't authorized to access. The Home Station dropdown now only shows stations the user has been granted access to, and the system blocks saves with mismatched permissions.

Supplies & Procurement

  • Scrollable Supplies Check card for crowded schedules: The Scheduled Supplies Check card on the Supplies dashboard now scrolls vertically when the number of containers exceeds the card's height, with the header staying pinned at the top. The card has also been shortened so the As-Needed section is visible above the fold on mobile devices.

  • Supplies reports work without View Inventory access: We fixed an issue where Supplies admins with "View Logs" but not "View Inventory" permissions saw errors or hangs on the Logs by Item, Expiration Date Report, and Trend Report pages. Reports now load correctly based on the relevant permission, decoupled from the inventory view.

  • Faster Supplies container loading: We’ve optimized the Supplies and Inventory pages to significantly reduce load times. Whether you’re managing a few items or hundreds of subcontainers, your container stock data will now load almost instantly.

  • Scheduled supply counts now show items in order: We fixed an issue where the Scheduled Inventory Count screen displayed items out of sequence, even though the As-Needed count for the same container showed them correctly. Both check types now use the same predefined sort order

Blood Products

  • Faster Blood Products Open Alerts loading: We resolved a performance issue where the Blood Products Home page made a separate request per alert just to fetch comment counts. Comment counts now load alongside the alert data in a single query.

Controlled Substances

  • View-Only access for Controlled Substances: Departments using parent-child setups and movable containers can now grant View-Only access to the Controlled Substances module. View-Only users can read CS Transaction Reports, Location Logs, and the Global Vial List, open event details modals, and review history — without the ability to edit, delete, or perform batch operations

  • Improved CS Log Navigation: You can now dive into vial details without losing your spot. Clicking a vial’s control number or "details" link from the Log Entry modal will automatically open the Vial History in a new browser tab. Your original search filters and results stay exactly where you left them

  • Email field locked for SSO users: For users authenticated through Single Sign-On, the email address can no longer be changed inside PSTrax. The Change Email button is now hidden on SSO-enabled accounts, with an inline note explaining that email updates are managed through the SSO provider.

  • Internal restocks now log without errors: We’ve fixed an issue in the Controlled Substance module that occasionally triggered an incorrect "vial no longer available" error during internal restocks (such as moving stock from a main vault). These transactions now process smoothly, ensuring that inventory levels for both the source and destination containers are updated accurately and immediately.

Other

  • Department Checklist filter now lists actual users: We fixed an issue in Vehicle & Station logs where the "Logged By" filter on Department Checklist results showed the checklist name instead of the users who completed the entries. The filter now correctly populates with each user's name, matching the existing behavior on Vehicle/Station check filters
