Schedule recurring checks for Controlled Substances containers
Summary
Full Administrators can schedule recurring controlled substance checks for specific containers to ensure consistent compliance and inventory oversight. This feature automates the frequency of Arriving, Departing, and Inventory checks, allowing agencies to set intervals based on specific days or completion dates. Please note that this feature is not available for departments using the movable container check type.
Instructions
To set up recurring checks, access the management interface within the Controlled Substances settings. You will identify the specific containers requiring oversight, select the applicable event type, and define the frequency—whether it is a set number of days or a specific day of the month. Once configured, these schedules automatically generate alerts on the station home screen, and they can be modified or deactivated at any time through the management dashboard.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Navigate to Settings → Controlled Substances → Manage Schedules.
- Click Add a schedule in the top right corner.
- Select one or more containers from the list.
- Choose the event type: Arriving, Departing, or Inventory.
- Select the Event Interval using one of the following options:
- A number of days from the last completed date.
- A number of days from the last scheduled date.
- A specific weekday of the month (e.g., the first Friday).
- A specific day of the month.
- Select a Next Due Date or leave the field blank to allow PSTrax to auto-calculate the date.
- Click Save.
Managing Existing Schedules
- Navigate to Settings → Controlled Substances → Manage Schedules.
- Locate the specific schedule and click Actions.
- Select Edit, Deactivate, or Delete.
🚧If a container is deleted or marked inactive within the system, all associated recurring schedules are automatically removed.
