Why aren't signatures working on my touch screen device

Issue:

When using Google Chrome on Microsoft Surface tablets, some users aren't able to add digital signatures (in the Controlled Substances module) using the touchscreen.

Solution #1:

  1. In Chrome, type in chrome://flags in the address bar.
  2. Type "Touch Events API" in the Search flags field.
  3. Enable it and relaunch Chrome.

Solution #2:

  1. Find the shortcut icon to Google Chrome on the desktop / home screen.
  2. Right click the icon and select Properties > Shortcut
  3. Paste this into the target (including the quotes): "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --touch-events
  4. Click Apply / OK
  5. Launch Chrome and see if the signatures work.
