Viewing blood products transactions

View a history of logged events related to blood products.

Summary

The Blood Products Transaction Log records every event documented within the PSTrax system regarding blood product inventory. This feature allows administrators and users to review a comprehensive history whenever items are added, subtracted, transferred, or checked off. It provides a detailed audit trail including log dates, responsible users, event types, specific containers, and item details such as temperature readings and product tasks.

Instructions

Users can access the transaction log to view a detailed history of all blood product activities within the department. The interface offers flexible customization options, allowing you to filter for specific events, such as administered items, and save these preferences as custom views for quick access in future sessions. Additionally, the layout can be modified by adjusting column visibility and order, with options to search for specific criteria and export the data for external reporting.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Accessing the Log

Navigate to Blood Products → Logs and Reports → Transaction Log to view the full history of documented events.

  2. Reviewing Event Details

Review the data rows to identify the log date, the user who performed the action, the specific event logged, the container involved, and the quantity removed or added. Any additional details, such as temperature readings, are also displayed here.

  3. Customizing Columns

Adjust the table layout by hiding columns that are not needed. You can also drag and drop column headers to rearrange the order of the information to suit your preference.

  4. Creating Saved Views

Filter the log to see specific information, such as all administered items. Add a new tab or view, name it (e.g., "Administered"), and save it. This creates a permanent tab that loads your specific filter settings every time you log into the platform.

  5. Searching and Exporting

Use the search functionality to locate transaction logs based on various criteria. If needed, export the data to view it in a different format outside of PSTrax.
