Viewing asset logs & reports

View logged inspections, upcoming expiration dates, repair costs, and more.

Summary

The Asset Logs and Reports section in PSTrax provides a complete history of every logged asset event. From inspections to status and assignment changes, administrators can search, filter, and export records for auditing, tracking, and reporting purposes.


Instructions

To access asset event history, navigate to Assets → Logs and Reports in the navigation panel. You can view inspection logs, task logs, upcoming expirations, repair costs, and more.


Using Asset Logs and Reports

  1. Navigate to Assets → Logs and Reports from the navigation panel.

  2. Choose either Logs or Logs by Task to view event records.

  3. Use the search bar or column filters to find specific information.

  4. Click on any column header to sort the data.

  5. Use the View dropdown to show or hide columns as needed.

  6. Export the data as a printable document, Excel spreadsheet, or PDF file.


Viewing a Specific Asset’s History

  1. In the Logs section, click the Type link for the asset you want to review.

  2. Alternatively, go to Assets → Asset List and click the Details button next to the item.

  3. In the asset’s profile, set a date range and click View to display the complete event history.

  4. Export the asset’s inspection and event history, if needed.


Additional Reports Available

Under Assets → Logs and Reports, you can also view:

  • Upcoming Expiration Reports – Identify assets that will expire soon.

  • Repair Cost Reports – Review and track repair expenditures for your assets.


Every asset event logged in PSTrax is retained indefinitely, giving your organization full visibility into each item’s lifecycle—from purchase to retirement.
