CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES

  • For departments using PINs, we now have the ability to require a PIN + Password to authenticate a witness signing for a CS event, or they can authenticate with just a PIN. Previously the PIN + Password option was the only one available, but several agencies said that it slowed down the process to require both. If you're interested in turning on PINs, please contact us at help@pstrax.com.
  • Search removed vials by Drug Type, Container, User, and Date Range in the Vial Archive (Controlled Substances > Logs & Reports > Vial Archive).
  • Access to CS containers can now be restricted to Full Admins only, Full Admins and Medic Admins, or all users in the CS module. For instance, the Main Vault may be accessible to Full Admins only; a BC vault or sub-stock safe could be limited to Full Admins + Medic Admins; and unit boxes would be open to Medics and above. To adjust these settings, go to Settings > Controlled Substances > Manage Containers > Edit > Admin-Only Access

The details page allows you to see the full history of an individual vial from the time it entered the system until it was removed. To access, click Details next to the item you'd like to view from the Vial List or the Vial Archive.
  • CS users (Medics) now have access to the Last Inventory Report and Expiration Date Report under Controlled Substances > Logs & Reports.
