System Updates - May 2025

Here's what we've been working on...

SCBA / PPE / ASSETS

  • When searching by Serial or ID # for multiple items, you can now separate each entry with a line break. Previously you had to separate items with a comma. This is helpful when you are copying & pasting items from a spreadsheet to search in PSTrax, or if you're using a barcode scanner to scan a bunch of gear. Here's how it works:
  • In the PPE module, a warning will display when attempting to add items with serial numbers that already exists in the system, so you don't accidentally input the same gear multiple times. Here's how it works:

This functionality will be added to the SCBA and PPE modules in our June 2025 update.

  • When searching by Serial or ID # for multiple PPE items, entries that don't return a match will be displayed. This is particularly helpful when searching for a lot of gear to see if the item hasn't been added into PSTrax yet. Here's how it works:

This functionality will be added to the SCBA and PPE modules in our June 2025 update.

  • When setting an alert on a specific asset, there's now an option for "All" assignments, so you can find what you're looking for without having to filter by the Apparatus, Location, or User that asset is assigned to (since you may not know that information).

SUPPLIES & PROCUREMENT

  • Items in subcontainers can be alphabetized by clicking the "ITEM" column on the Edit Item Order page (Settings > Supplies > Manage Containers > Edit Item Order).

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES

  • When a user is in possession of a controlled substance container, and that container is then set to "Do Not Lock Container", the possession is released and anyone with the proper access can log events on that container. This is a pretty rare setup that only affects a handful of agencies, so if you have no idea know what this means, don't worry...

OTHER

  • We added a field to document each user's position/role. To enable, please contact us and we can help set this up. Our June update will include the ability for system administrators to set this up themselves in PSTrax.
    Add Position

  • Fixed a bug where an error was being thrown when users were attempting to navigate to the station home page before selecting a station.
