Setting asset alerts
Notify the appropriate personnel whenever there's an issue, malfunction, or discrepancy with your equipment.
Summary
Alerts in PSTrax notify specific personnel when an issue is detected with an asset. Users can set alerts during scheduled inspections, as needed, or directly from the asset list. Alerts send email or text notifications to designated recipients and appear in the Alerts Panel under the Assets tab.
Instructions
To set an asset alert, navigate to Perform Asset Check and select the alert icon when an issue is found. Users can add notes, attachments, priority levels, and recipients. Alerts can also be set from the Asset List or via As Needed Checks.
Setting an Alert During a Scheduled Inspection

Log an Asset Inspection (e.g., Engine 1 AED Check).

Verify if the item is present and operational.

If an issue is found, click the Alert Icon.

Add notes about the malfunction or discrepancy (e.g., “AED shuts off after a few minutes”).

(Optional) Add attachments (e.g., photos, maintenance reports).

Click Log Items to proceed.

Complete the Alert Form:
- Set the Priority Level.
- Add additional attachments if needed.
- Adjust comments or notes.

Select Alert Recipients (users notified via email or text).

Click Set Alert.

The system redirects you back to the checklist to continue your work.
Viewing and Managing Alerts

Navigate to the Home Page → Alerts Panel.

Alerts appear under the Assets tab.

Recipients receive email or text notifications.
Setting an Alert via As Needed Checks

Navigate to Perform Asset Check.

Select As Needed Check.

Choose the asset requiring an alert.

Follow the same steps to add notes, attachments, priority level, and recipients.
Setting an Alert from the Asset List

Navigate to Assets → Asset List.

Locate the specific asset.

Click the dropdown arrow next to Details.

Select Set Alert.
