Why do I get kicked out of PSTrax after clicking certain links?

Summary

Some users have reported being logged out of PSTrax when clicking specific links—such as SCBA or PPE in the navigation bar or the Record as Out-of-Service link in the vehicle dropdown. This issue occurs most frequently on iPhones using Safari, though some Android users with Chrome have experienced it as well. The root cause appears to be related to how mobile browsers store and manage cached website data. Clearing the cache typically resolves the issue.


Instructions

If you're experiencing unexpected logouts when using PSTrax, clearing the cached data in your browser should resolve the problem. Follow the steps below based on your device and browser type.


Clearing Cache on Apple Devices (Safari)

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

  2. Scroll down and tap Safari.

  3. Tap Advanced at the bottom.

  4. Tap Website Data.

  5. Tap Edit in the top-right corner.

  6. Find and tap the red minus icon next to pstrax.com, then tap Delete.

  7. Log back in to PSTrax and try again.


Clearing Cache on Android Devices (Chrome)

  1. Open the Chrome browser on your device.

  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select More tools > Clear browsing data.

  4. Select Cached images and files only (you may leave Browsing history and Cookies unchecked).

  5. Tap Clear data.

  6. Log back in to PSTrax and try again.
