Set up inspections, testing, and repair events for your equipment.
Summary
Asset events are inspections tied to specific equipment in PSTrax. These events can be customized based on the type of asset and the frequency of inspections. Administrators can set up new events, define requirements, assign specific assets, and schedule recurring checks to ensure compliance.
Instructions
To create an asset event, navigate to Settings → Assets → Events and click Add Event. Define the event name, permissions, and any additional requirements such as notes, cost tracking, or administrator-only access. Once saved, you can assign asset types, add tasks, and schedule inspections. Events can be logged as needed or set to repeat on a scheduled interval.
Creating a New Asset Event

Navigate to Asset Events:
- Go to Settings → Assets → Events.

Add a New Event:
- Click Add Event at the top.
- Enter the event name (e.g., Inventory Verification).

Set Event Preferences:
- Define who can perform the event:
- Administrators only or all users
- you can also allow users to check all tasks at once.
- Enable/disable options such as:
- Backdating
- Cost tracking
- Required notes
- Define who can perform the event:

Select Asset Types:
- Choose all asset types OR
- Select specific asset types that apply to this event.

Save the Event:
- Click Save, and the event will appear at the bottom of the list.
Customizing an Asset Event

Click the dropdown arrow next to the event name.

Edit Event Options:
- Add or remove asset types.
- Add a scheduled interval.
- Delete the event if no longer needed.

Set an Inspection Interval:
- Click Add Interval.
- Choose a frequency (e.g., Monthly on the 1st).
- Save the interval for automated scheduling.

Assign Specific Tasks to an Asset Type:
- Click Assign or Add Asset Type.
- Example: AED Inspection.
- Add specific tasks (e.g., “Verify pads are sealed”).
- Include instructions, log note settings, and require additional notes if needed.

Save Task Assignments:
- If no specific tasks are added, a generic Notes field will appear for users to input details.
Scheduling an Asset Event
- Navigate to the Asset List:
- Go to Assets → Asset List from the navigation panel.
- Select the Assets to Schedule:
- Search for the specific assets
- Select the items to schedule.
- Batch Schedule the Event:
- Click Batch Schedule.
- Find the event (e.g., Inventory Verification).
- Select the date for the first scheduled inspection.
- Click Save to finalize the scheduling.
