What is the Dashboard?

If enabled, each user can access a personal dashboard to see pertinent information at-a-glance. The Dashboard can be customized with widgets from our ever-expanding library, providing real-time insights tailored to each user's role.

How does it work?

A personal dashboard (called "My Dashboard) is enabled for each user. To access, click the Dashboard link from the navigation panel. You can add, edit, or filter the widgets to display pertinent information, which will be updated every time the page is reloaded.

Note that while the Dashboard feature is enabled by default for each user, admin can adjust which users can access dashboards in the User Settings (Settings > Personnel > Manage Users > Edit).

FAQs

What kind of widgets are available to add to the Dashboard?
For the initial release, the available widgets are related to personal insights (My Alerts, My Checks, My Gear), department checks due, and controlled substance information. However, new widgets will be added to the library every few weeks based on what are users are asking for.

How often is data refreshed in the Dashboard?
The information in each widget is refreshed whenever the browser page is refreshed or updated.

Can I link to reports and export data?
Initially, the Dashboard widgets won't link directly to reports. But within 1-2 months of release, each widget will link directly to an in-depth report, which will allow you to drill into the data and export as necessary.

What level of access will different users have to the Dashboard?
By default, all users will have access to their personal "My Dashboard" page. However, administrators with Manage Personnel permissions can turn off dashboards for individual users.

Is there a cost associated with Dashboards?
Each PSTrax user will have access to their own personal dashboard at no cost. There is an additional charge for agencies that wish to have multiple dashboards that can be shared between users and groups within the department.
