Logging admin-only SCBA events

Summary

SCBA administrators can log hydro tests, flow tests, repairs, and other inspections directly from the gear list in PSTrax. These logs help ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with testing intervals. Events like hydro tests and flow tests will automatically reschedule based on predefined intervals (e.g., five years or one year), while other events like repairs can be logged as needed.

Instructions

To log hydro tests or similar inspections in PSTrax, use the gear list to select relevant cylinders and log the appropriate event. You can log inspections in bulk or individually, backdate events, and attach documentation as needed.

Logging SCBA Events Through the Gear List

1. Filter and Select Cylinders

   • Go to SCBA → Gear List.

   • Use the filters to locate your cylinders.

   • Select the cylinders that were inspected.

   • Deselect any items that were not tested.

2. Perform a Batch Log

   • Click Batch Log at the top of the list.

   • From the Select an Event dropdown, choose Hydro Test or the applicable inspection.

3. Enter Inspection Information

   • Backdate the event if necessary to reflect the actual inspection date.

   • Enter the cost per cylinder (not the total cost).

   • Add inspection notes if applicable.

   • Attach relevant documentation (e.g., invoice or work order).

4. Submit the Log

   • Click Log Event to save the inspection to all selected cylinders.

Logging Individual Events (e.g., Repairs)

1. In the Gear List, click the dropdown arrow next to Details on the item you want to update.

2. Select Log Event.

3. Choose Repair from the event dropdown.

4. Enter the date, notes, cost, and any attachments.

5. Click Log Event to save.
