Add, rename, or remove stations
Update the list of station locations to meet your needs.
Summary
Stations in PSTrax represent the physical locations where vehicles and equipment are housed. While new stations must be added by the PSTrax team, administrators with the appropriate permissions can manage access to these stations for individual users or in bulk. Once a station is created, it won’t appear in a user’s dropdown until they’ve been granted access. You can assign access through the user profile, via a batch edit, or by using the station access list for quicker multi-user updates.
Instructions
After a new station is added by the PSTrax team, administrators can control who has access to it using a few different methods. These include assigning access individually to each user, using a batch edit for multiple users, or utilizing the station access list for station-wide user management. Each method gives flexibility depending on whether you're updating a few users or making system-wide changes.
Step-by-Step Instructions
To Assign Station Access to an Individual User:
-
Go to Settings > Personnel > User List.
-
Click on the name of the user (e.g., “Corey”).
-
Scroll to Station Access and check the box for the new station (e.g., “Station 7”).
-
Click Save.
To Assign Station Access to Multiple Users (Batch Edit):
-
Go to Settings > Personnel > User List.
-
Use the search or filters to locate users.
-
Select multiple users using the checkboxes.
-
Click Batch Edit.
-
Scroll to the Station Access section.
-
Hold Control (PC) or Command (Mac) to multi-select the stations.
⚠️ Note: This will override existing station access. Only the selected stations will remain.
7. Click Save.
To Assign Access via Station Access List (Recommended for Bulk Additions):
-
Go to Settings > Personnel > Station Access List.
-
Click Hide All to minimize other sections.
-
Expand the new station (e.g., “Station 7”).
-
Click Select Users for this Station.
-
Select the users you want to give access to.
-
Click Save.
✅ This method adds access to the station without removing other existing access for each user.
